The Signature tread features a solid engineered core wrapped in a hardwood wear layer on all 6 sides-so you'll never see edge grain, no matter the angle. Each surface is sanded smooth and finished to your specifications, with a refined 1/8" roundover on every edge. American Cherry is prized for its warm, reddish-brown heartwood that deepens and enriches with age and light exposure-a natural patina that makes every staircase more beautiful over time. With a smooth, fine grain and moderate hardness (950 Janka), Cherry strikes the perfect balance between workability and durability, accepting stain beautifully or standing on its own with a clear finish for a timeless, elegant look. Available in standard widths of 36", 42", 48", 54", 60", and 72"-or specify a custom size-with an 11-1/4" depth that meets code.
