Each of the 6 sides is sanded smooth and finished to your specifications, with a refined 1/8” roundover on every edge. Ash is a remarkably strong and resilient hardwood with a pronounced, open grain that gives each tread bold visual character. Its light, creamy-tan tone takes stain exceptionally well, making it a versatile choice for both light and dark color palettes. With a Janka hardness of 1,320, Ash delivers outstanding durability underfoot—a smart investment for high-traffic staircases. Available in standard widths of 36”, 42”, 48”, 54”, 60”, and 72”—or specify a custom size—with an 11-1/4” depth that meets code.
