Each of the 6 sides is sanded smooth and finished to your specifications, with a refined 1/8” roundover on every edge. Hard Maple is one of the densest domestic hardwoods available, boasting a Janka rating of 1,450—making it exceptionally resistant to dents and wear. Its creamy white to light tan color and subtle, consistent grain pattern create a clean, contemporary look that works beautifully in modern and Scandinavian-inspired interiors. Hard Maple accepts stain evenly and is an outstanding choice for high-traffic staircases. Available in standard widths of 36”, 42”, 48”, 54”, 60”, and 72”—or specify a custom size—with an 11-1/4” depth that meets code.
