Solid 5/4 boards are glued face-to-face to build up a full 2" thickness, so you're looking at the beautiful face grain-never the edge-on every surface. Each of the 6 sides is sanded smooth and finished to your specifications, with a refined 1/8" roundover on every edge. White Oak is the defining wood of modern interior design-its neutral, gray-tan tones and tight, straight grain complement everything from minimalist to mid-century aesthetics. With a Janka hardness of 1,360 and outstanding natural resistance to moisture, White Oak is exceptionally durable and stable. It accepts a wide range of stains, from blonde naturals to deep charcoals, making it one of the most versatile species in our collection. Available in standard sizes of 36" x 36", 42" x 42", and 48" x 48"-or specify a custom size. Choose unfinished to apply your own stain or clear coat, or select a pre-finished option for a ready-to-install landing platform. Matching stair treads are available to complete your staircase. Note: at 2" thickness, a landing pan or supporting structure beneath the landing is recommended for optimal rigidity.
