A 1/8” roundover on every edge delivers a smooth, polished transition. Hickory is the hardest and most character-rich domestic hardwood in our lineup, with a Janka rating of 1,820. Its dramatic color variation—ranging from pale cream sapwood to deep reddish-brown heartwood—delivers a bold, one-of-a-kind look on every tread. Hickory’s natural knots and swirling grain patterns make it ideal for rustic, farmhouse, or eclectic stair designs where personality and toughness matter most.
