At a full 3” thick, the Signature tread’s engineered core is clad in a hardwood wear layer on all 6 sides—so you see beautiful face grain from every angle, never edge grain. A 1/8” roundover on every edge gives a refined, intentional look. Riftsawn White Oak is cut at a 30–60° angle to the growth rings, producing a clean, linear grain with minimal ray fleck compared to quartersawn cuts. The result is a contemporary, uniform look that feels intentional and refined—ideal for modern and transitional interiors where consistency and restraint define the aesthetic. Like all White Oak, it offers excellent hardness (1,360 Janka) and takes stain beautifully.
