The Signature Cable Railing, Surface Mount, Universal Top Angle Tension Post “B” (Rear Mount Top of Stairs) is the start and end post for angled stair runs. The Rear Mount version ends the stair run on the last stair rather than on the upper floor — use it when your second-floor railing needs to start at a specific location. Drilled with 1/2″ holes on one side and 5/16″ offset holes on the other to match the pitch of the stair, it uses Angle Tension Kits to anchor and tension each cable run. Drilled to your stair angle, from 27° to 40°. The angle washers in the fittings come in five ranges and allow a little flex, but the post drilling does not, so confirm your stair angle before ordering. Kits needed: 36″ – 10 kits, 39″ – 11 kits, 42″ – 12 kits.

The Surface Mount foot bolts directly to the deck, floor, or stair tread.

Available in structural aluminum, 304 Stainless Steel, or high-corrosion-resistance 2205 Stainless Steel. All posts are finished in a durable, outdoor-rated powder coat. Stainless models are also available in a brushed finish. Standard colors include Textured Black, White, and Silver. Premium powder coat options are available for larger projects or custom color needs.

The Universal Top cap fits both flat and angled handrail, providing a uniform look across level and stair sections. Available in 36″, 39″, and 42″ heights. All posts are made in America.
