The Express Side Mount Angle Line Post is the mid-span support for fascia-mounted Express cable-rail stair runs.

Pre-slotted on two faces, it bolts directly to properly blocked fascia boards and keeps cables perfectly aligned along typical 30° – 40° stair pitches — no field drilling, bending, or tension hardware required. Install one line post every 4 ft. between two angle end posts to meet code and maintain a rigid, open-view railing. Ships fast from Goshen, Indiana, usually in 1 – 3 business days.

This product is backed by Viewrail’s 10-year structural / 5-10-year finish warranty (excluding coastal regions).

WHAT’S IN THE BOX

  • Express Side Mount Angle Line Post (pre-slotted, fascia-mount plate attached)

  • Matte-finish plate cover (standard height)

  • 3 ½-in. stainless structural screws — 4-pack, wood/concrete-anchor ready

  • Composite leveling shims — 2-pack for quick plumb adjustment

  • Flat-top handrail bracket with (2) ¼-20 × ½ in. Phillips flat-head screws

  • Black aluminum pop rivets — 6 for securing the bracket cover

Note: Line posts do not require cable-end fittings—the cable passes straight through. The mounting plate’s top edge sits 1 ⅜ in. below deck-surface height; plate height is 6 in., so ensure at least 8 in. of fascia depth for a code-compliant install.
